Copyright & takedown.
Footyfanbase is a community platform with user-uploaded content (avatars, posts, comments, clips). We respect intellectual-property rights and act on properly filed notices.
Quick summary
- Users are responsible for the content they post. They keep ownership of what they upload but grant Footyfanbase a non-exclusive licence to display it.
- We do not pre-screen user uploads. We review reports and remove content found to infringe.
- If you own a copyright and believe content on Footyfanbase infringes it, send a takedown notice to the contact below.
- Repeat infringers are suspended.
Send a takedown notice
Email our designated copyright agent. Include all the items below so we can act on the notice — incomplete notices may be returned.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL on Footyfanbase where the infringing content appears.
- Your full name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorised.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner (or authorised agent of the owner) of the copyright.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was mistaken or that you have permission, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Counter-notices must include your contact information, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Repeat-offender policy
Footyfanbase tracks copyright complaints per account. After three substantiated complaints we suspend the account. Substantiated means: the user did not file a successful counter-notice, or a court determined the content infringes.
What we never host
- Official club crests, kits, or league logos. Our team marks are fan-built abstract designs, not licensed imagery.
- Match footage or photos taken from broadcasters / agencies.
- Player likenesses without consent.
- Branded chants or slogans that are registered trademarks.
Inside the app
You can also report individual content from inside chat — open the three-dot menu on any message and pick Report message. For copyright issues, choose Copyright / IP as the reason. Reports go to the moderation team and are reviewed within 24 hours.
